About the Peel Regional Police Scholarship
The Peel Regional Police Scholarship supports graduating secondary school students in Brampton and Mississauga who show leadership, community involvement, and a strong commitment to inclusion and diversity.
The scholarship is funded through proceeds raised from the annual Race Against Racism event and supports students beginning post-secondary education at a recognized Canadian college or university in September 2026.
This scholarship recognizes students who help build safe, welcoming, and inclusive communities.
About the Race Against Racism
The Race Against Racism brings together people of all backgrounds to promote inclusion, wellness, and community connection.
The five-kilometre race brings together participants of all ages and support initiatives that strengthen community relationships. All funds raised help support programs including this scholarship.

How to Apply and Submit
Step 1: Prepare Your Application
Students must apply by submitting a complete application package.
Your application package must include:
- A completed application form
- One reference letter from an adult who knows you well
- Proof of acceptance or enrollment in a Canadian college or university (starting September 2026)
Step 2: Submit Your Application
Submit your completed application package before 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2026.
Please ensure all documents are uploaded as attachments. Late or incomplete submissions will not be considered.

Use this checklist to make sure your application is complete:
- Application form completed
- Reference letter included
- Proof of acceptance or enrollment included
- Signed consent form included
Eligibility
You can apply if you:
- Live in Brampton or Mississauga
- Attend a secondary school in Brampton or Mississauga
- Are graduating with an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) in June 2026
- Plan to attend a Canadian college or university in September 2026
- Show leadership, community involvement, and respect for people from different backgrounds
Selection Criteria
Applications will be reviewed based on:
- Leadership and initiative (25 per cent)
- Community involvement (25 per cent)
- Inclusion and diversity impact (25 per cent)
- Essay quality and reflection (25 per cent)
Notifications
Successful applicants will be contacted by September 15 using the contact information provided in the Student Information section of the application.
